Meet Your Host, Commander Josh
Josh Bernstein is an international explorer, author, diver,
and television host who has traveled more than 2,000,000
miles by train, plane, bus, bike, and camel to over 75
countries and all seven continents, exploring the biggest mysteries of our planet in pursuit of knowledge and discovery.
Known in over 220 countries and territories around the world for his work hosting television series on the History Channel (Digging for the Truth) and Discovery Channel (Into the Unknown with Josh Bernstein), Josh made a
name for himself as an insatiably curious,
determined, and authentic host who loves
taking viewers along on adventures from the
Amazon to the Arctic to explore the wonders
and mysteries of our planet.
With a strong belief that one of the
greatest impacts one can have is in
helping educate future generations, Josh
formed his own production company in
2015 to create content specifically for
teachers and students. As a result, a
pedagogy based in "curiosity and courage"
was born in which Josh helps students
discover and explore passions, people, and places
previously unknown.
In 2019, Josh began working with support from NASA to create formal and informal learning content for classrooms and afterschool programs. It's in this role that "Commander Josh" hopes to inspire the
Artemis Generation to learn more about the challenges and triumphs of spaceflight.
